Partner and Legal Director of the firm since 2010. He was born in Mexico City. Attorney at law with a post graduate degree in Constitutional Law from the Universidad Panamericana. ILEC University of Cambridge (2007). He currently coordinates the Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Committee of the Mexican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), where he is Coordinator of the Contentious Matters Committee, the Mexican Bar Association (BMA), and the Intellectual Property Owners association (IPO), where he is member of the International Trademark Law and Practice Committee.
Juan Carlos has been invited to participate in different national and international forums on IP matters and has contributed with different domestic and foreign associations with opinions related with the legal IP frame. Juan Carlos has published several articles in different media and collaborated in the first edition of the book "La Propiedad Intelectual y la Investigación Farmacéutica".
He leads the Legal Department of the firm focusing his practice in IP and administrative litigation, anti-counterfeiting, constitutional law, and regulatory issues. He is mainly involved in representing pharmaceutical clients in patent litigation.
