With three partners (Sabine Agé, Amandine Métier and Florence Jacquand), one of counsel (Pierre Véron), two counsels having more than 9 years of experience, three associates as well as a scientific consultant Véron & Associés is one of the most experienced team in patent litigation.
Véron & Associés handles all aspects, legal, financial and technical, of a case (legal, technical and financial), in all sectors of industry. The team is known to be able to elaborate strong technical reasonings and to design visual aids to illustrate them. International strategies are developed in coordination with an open network of foreign litigators.
Deeply involved in the construction of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), notably through Pierre Véron, the firm helps its clients define their future strategies. Véron & Associés litigators took part to several UPC mock trials.
Active in research and in most intellectual property associations (AIPPI, EPLAW, APEB, AAPI, LES, AIPLA, IPO), the members of the firm lecture on patent litigations in a number of universities and conferences. They are the authors or co-authors of several books on the "saisie-contrefaçon" and on patent litigation.
The firm has maintained a statistical study of French case law since 1990 which can be found on the firm’s website.
In order to promote legal research in its area of expertise, the firm created the Véron & Associés patent litigation thesis award (“Prix de thèse Véron & Associés contentieux des brevets d’invention”), which rewards the best thesis in the field and which 3rd edition took place in April 2015.
It also created the website www.frenchpatentcaselaw.info to make available to the public the English translation of landmark French decisions.
