The new firm will benefit from Benton’s 75 years of experience in IP and IP STARS practitioners  . This firm is sure to make a big impact on the Argentinian IP arena.

Herbert Smith Freehills hired Laura Orlando, previously head of IP at Simmons & Simmons Italy, to set up a new office in Milan. Orlando is recognised as an IP star in the 2017 edition of IP STARS.

Agency Firma and PIIN merger
Agency Firma has merged with the boutique firm PIIN to form FIRMA. The new firm sees founding partners Esther López and Juan Pablo Alonso join forces to offer IP services in the Mexican IP market. López and Alonso are experienced patent practitioners.

Jan Ebersohl has joined Allen & Overy in Munich. Ebersohl, previously a partner at Quinn Emanuel, advises on IP matters in the hi-tech field.

Chartered trade mark attorney Matt Sammon joined IP firm Kempner & Partners as partner. Sammon was previously a partner at Marks & Clerk, where he managed trade mark and design portfolios for blue-chip clients in a range of sectors.
 
Maclay Murray & Spens and Dentons merger
The world’s largest law firm Dentons have merged with leading Scottish law firm Maclay Murray & Spens. The Scottish firm is continuing under the Dentons brand and together the firm now has 200 partners operating in the UK.
