Accura’s IP Star joins Plesner; Goodwin Procter gains Orrick’s IP Star; Browne Jacobson, Berger Singerman, Jackson Walker and Potomac Law Group have all hired from rivals; and South African firms Spoor & Fisher and Von Seidels increase number of partners
IP Star Jeppe Brinck-Jensen has joined Plesner as partner in its IP department. Brinck-Jensen was formerly head of IP and partner at law firm Accura. He brought along with him IP associate Kamilla Kelm Demant.
The firm hired IP litigator and IP Star Neel Chatterjee as partner. He was formerly partner at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, which recently promoted IP litigators Jordan Coyle and Alyssa Caridis to partner. Chatterjee will be based in the firm's Silicon Valley office.
Former Gowling WLG partner and IP Star Cerryg Jones has joined Browne Jacobson as partner. Cerryg is recognised by peers in soft IP, particularly trade marks. Earlier this year the firm hired IP/IT transactional lawyer Selina Hinchliffe from Eversheds Sutherland.
The Texas-based firm strengthened its IP practice with six lateral partner hires: Danny Williams, Brian Buss, Chris Cravey, Drew Kim, Leisa Peschel and David Wooten. All six lawyers are recognised for their IP litigation practice and were formerly with patent boutique Williams Morgan.
Berger SingermanThe Florida-based law firm welcomed IP lawyer Matthew Nelles as partner in its dispute resolution practice. Nelles represents clients before the courts and USPTO. He joins from law firm Broad and Cassel.

This top-tier South African IP firm announced partner and senior associate promotions which saw John Foster become partner. Foster, whose practice focuses on soft IP litigation, is based in the firm’s Cape Town office.
The firm promoted four attorneys to partner: Gunther Roland and Llewellyn du Toit in the patent practice, and Claire Brown and Hugo Prinsloo in trade marks. Brown heads up the Africa trade mark prosecution practice. The firm also welcomed five new employees: one trade mark associate and four trainees. It celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday.
