On September 21, Microsoft announced its plans to acquire the video game company ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion. ZeniMax Media owns a number of game studios and Bethesda Softworks, its publishing business. The deal, which is expected to complete next year, will strengthen Microsoft’s Xbox gaming business.
