Teal was launched in January 2025 by a team of IP and IT lawyers. The firm specialises in trade mark work, but it can also deal with copyright and design matters.

Copyright case studies show the team advised the heirs of the famous German author Michael Ende on copyright claims and a few multinational companies on copyright licensing.

The team also dealt with design registration and disputes for various clients. RRC power solutions, Einhell Germany, and Fernweh Woodworking are among the design clients.

Case studies show trade mark filing, office proceedings, and enforcement matters. Clients include Luqom Group, Meatless Farm, Meril Life Sciences, Rat Pack Film, and Constantin Film.

Soft IP lawyers Susanne Schmidt and Patrick Baronikians and IT/privacy lawyers Daniel Kaboth and Benjamin Spies launched the firm in 2025. Spies was previously with SKW Schwarz, while Baronikians, Kaboth and Schmidt came from Ampersand. They brought along former colleagues Theresa Deubler and Amely Sophie Platz. Former Simmons & Simmons IP associate Tobias Schönhöfer also joined in 2025.
